Finally the rail gun used by the U.S Navy has been shrunk down to size. The rail works by sending electric current through polarized metal object. The poles repel each other sending the projectile at the speeds of sound through the air. For years the rail gun was so large it could only be mounted on a ship. If it is true that it has been shrunk down to size it is a wonderful breakthrough. No more muzzle flash or sound. No more barrel jump from shooting a high caliber round. Stealth is now much easier to achieve. Ammo will be much lighter making troops more maneuverable. The advancements are limitless.
