In WW2 Stalin was making his own set super soldiers. His idea was to kill pain and in case bones in titanium. He had his leading scientists place gold electrodes in the brain to stop pain. Next, in case bones with titanium. This project was stopped by the use of nuclear weapons. Who needs a super soldier when you have nuclear arms. I feel this would have failed anyway. The human body produces red blood cells in the marrow of your bones. Coating the bones completely in metal would stop this process. Eventually your body would fail and die due to lack of new red blood cells, or if the soldier was wounded he would just bleed out and die from blood loss. The second reason Stalin did this was to protect soft tissue. I’m not a doctor but soft tissue is on the outside of the skeletal structure. This means the soft tissue would still be affected. In short the human body is not meant for certain things.
