A new 50 lb helicopter drone is out and it’s called Shadow Hawk. Made by the Vanguard group it has a camera equipped with thermal and infrared imagery, illuminators and laser designators to hunt down the bad guys and paint targets for the big guns. The new drone is small and versatile. It can be outfitted with 37 mm -40 mm grenade launcher, shotgun or taser. We are using it currently to hunt down Somali pirates, and Somali terror groups. Now that we have all this new stuff, I’m waiting for a new breed of bad guy.
